Gardenia® Premium Wrap is a high-performance food wrap catering to the most demanding uncoated grocery and deli applications. Gardenia® was pioneered in the 1930’s to wrap and protect foods like fish which require higher barriers to penetration from oil or blood than Butcher Paper can provide. For these applications, paper is often preferred over plastic since it can allow some penetration of air to allow products to breathe.
Proprietary chemistry gives Gardenia its unique properties of extra holdout and superior protection for the food packaged in it. This paper allows for some penetration of fluids and air which prevents “sliming” that can occur with barriers that are completely airtight.
